For those interested in genealogical research, the churchyard has over two hundred gravestones, nearly all pre-1855. There are also a few inside the church itself and a couple inside the tower!

We have completed the survey and publish below a list of the surnames which are inscribed on the stones. This web-site also has a gallery showing photographs of some of the stones. If the name is underlined there will be a corresponding entry in the gallery - click on the name to go there. If you would be interested in seeing a picture of the stone associated with a particular surname, please send us your request by e-mail. We will endeavour to put the picture in our gallery in as short a time as possible......... Check back later.
If a legible photograph proves difficult to produce, we will at least send you a transcript of the inscription as it appears on the stone.
