About Us |
 |
For several centuries, the church has been a beacon in this place. When we installed
our external floodlighting, this became literally true.
Worship, witness and service in the local community are based in the Kirk
and in a purpose-built suite of halls opposite.
At Liberton, the emphasis is not on any particular group, but on the needs of
the whole of God's family. Facilities are made available for all age groups.
Child and youth activities in worship range from a creche for the very young,
through Sunday Club for those between four and eleven to Sunday Set for up
to age eighteen.
We have family services, outings and parties where the entire church family
meets to worship or enjoy together. In addition, the Kirk Centre is the
meeting place for many different organisations.
We like to think that no age is ignored and that all are welcome to our
community. You will find some details if you click the
Our Week button.
Sunday services are well-attended and lively. They are normally held at
9.30am and 11.00am in the Kirk - 10.30am in the summer months. Evening
worship is held in the Kirk Centre at 6.30pm on most Sundays. These evening
get-togethers cover several different styles of worship or reflection
and are always informal.
As a visitor or a prospective member, you can be sure of a warm welcome
into our family. If you can't visit, then
